Week 8 – Absence

Do we need to explain? And what is truth worth, if we need to have faith in it’s roots. I strive for a truth that does not need to be explained, a rational analytic truth. If there is so much death and so much suffering, such pointlessness. Why wouldn’t the structure of the universe be less pointless. What points towards a higher entity anyways? Who has seen a miracle happen? Most of them are surely on account of explainable events. Who wants to believe that a God speaks to the people, when noone can hear his voice, except those, insane enough to trust that God with their lives, and even those seem to struggle to make out a meaning that is beyond their own mind. Explaining that, which we all want to know, but which is so easy to explain, with an explanation that pleases noone. We are, because of chance, noone was the first cause or the first mover, because not everything needs a cause, or in other words, why would everything need to have a cause, even if everything we know has a cause. That seems inductive and fallible.
